Whispers of Her Eternal Song

In Loving Memory of My Wife

☆ PARVEEN  SALAHUDDIN ☆

When dusk unfolds its velvet hue,

And stars adorn the heavens’ view,

Her face appears, a tender glow,

In every tear, in every woe.

The air still holds her lilting voice,

A melody that made hearts rejoice.

Each whispered laugh, a soft refrain,

Echoes now in the halls of pain.

Her touch, like petals brushed with dew,

Still lingers on the mornings’ blue.

Her scent, like jasmine, sweet and rare,

Drifts through the shadows everywhere.

I see her in the twilight's gleam,

Her eyes alive within my dream.

Their light, though gone, still warms the cold,

A flame that time cannot withhold.

Oh, how her laughter filled the air,

A symphony beyond compare.

Now silence reigns where joy once grew,

Yet even silence sings of you.

Our home, though empty, bears her grace,

Each corner holds her soft embrace.

The kitchen hums with phantom cheer,

Her apron sways as if she's near.

The garden blooms, her gentle art,

Each flower a gift, a piece of her heart.

Though seasons pass, her love remains,

A timeless spring in winter's chains.

Each letter penned, her words alive,

In those I find the strength to strive.

Her poetry, her notes, her prose,

Are all I have as time bestows.

Her chair still waits by the fireside,

Her books untouched, yet opened wide.

I hear her voice in the rustling leaves,

Her absence—vast, yet her love relieves.

Grief is my shadow, love my light,

Both dance within the endless night.

For though she’s gone, her soul still sings,

In quiet winds, on sparrow’s wings.

I long to meet her on that shore,

Where parting tears shall fall no more.

Yet in this world, her spirit stays,

Guiding me through these shadowed days.

O sweet, dear love, though you’re apart,

You breathe eternal in my heart.

Each memory glows, a sacred spark,

A lighthouse shining through the dark.

Let time erode, let rivers bend,

Her love transcends what life can end.

And when I too take heaven’s flight,

We’ll dance again in boundless light.
